J.O. Sims’ comprehensive quality assurance programme ensures that all fruit is safe and meets the high standards that our customers have come to expect.

To achieve this, J.O. Sims technical personnel work closely with growers to ensure that the use of crop protection chemicals is kept to a minimum. Where the use of such chemicals is necessary, J.O. Sims will liaise with growers to screen chemicals, making sure that those selected are least damaging tot he operator, the environment and the consumer.

J.O. Sims is committed to the adoption of Integrated Crop Management practices which support the responsible use of pesticides and regularly audits growers to ensure that the impact of commercial activities on the environment is minimised.

On arrival in the UK, fruits are routinely tested for pesticide residues and are inspected to ensure that they meet the expected high quality standards.

By working with individual growers, grower groups, universities and research centres, all aspects of production, harvesting, packing and distribution are continually updated and improved.
